Great German cuisine, from the classic Nuremberg sausages to sour meat to steak, everything is available here! The liver dumpling soup is very tasty as a starter! The beer selection also has some very tasty specialties, e.g. the Engel beer! The food (crust roast) was okay this time, unfortunately the sauce was a bit too “thin” for me personally ... otherwise a successful evening

I don't want to go into that, but it's not nice. You see, I have a lot of hotels, but that's not the best

In addition to the standard menu (see homepage) there is a weekly changing lunch menu with 6 dishes - from Tuesday to Friday - very recommendable because it is varied, deliciously prepared and at a reasonable price. Vegetarian and vegan are not so strongly represented, but there are also very tasty dishes with a lot of vegetables and only a few meat and cheese.

The hotel is beautiful and in a great location in the middle of the city. Our room was comfortably furnished and clean. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Gladly again!

Rooms booked through HRS. The confirmation said: Check-in from 10 a.m., reception staffed from 7:30 a.m. But there is nobody there. Nobody's answering the phone. HRS had to book me into another hotel. Incredible service.

Sunday afternoon and evening the beer garden is closed. Open only 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Apparently you don't want to earn money ..

I can only report on the restaurant, but I like to spend my lunch break here. The weekly changing lunch menu basically offers something for every taste. A price for all dishes with a small drink, always very tasty. You will definitely get full.

Overall, were very satisfied. Even in Corona times. Portions are such that you get full.

My birthday dinner was very good and large portions. A tip: If you are very hungry, the Eisbein is delicious. The Hubertus pan also great. Overall, everything was great.

We were only eating in the restaurant, so we cannot judge the hotel. After ordering we had to wait 45 minutes for our food. If you like pork knuckle, this is the place for you! For vegetarians, the menu looks rather poor. The food was good so far, but I was not overly enthusiastic.

A very good kitchen. If you like fried potatoes or schnitzel, this is the place for you. We only ate here, so I don't know what the hotel is like, but it's very cozy here, definitely. We were 6 people and actually ordered 6 different dishes. You really have to say it, from steak to deer, from sour meat to schnitzel, everything was excellent. Compliments to the kitchen. It was the fourth time we were eating here as a group and we went out really satisfied. Oh yeah, and the big coke here is really big coke, like it used to be everywhere. We will come back in any case. Many thanks to the staff.

I am glad I had the opportunity to stay here and I must say I was impressed. The bed was comfortable, the room and bathroom clean, the breakfast tasty. Locally renown for the served food here and very busy at dinners (reservation is recommended). It certainly has a nice rustic charm. Don't label it from the start as hotel , since this gives you more the vibe of an inn with tavern. There are some that complain about the conditions (maybe expecatations too high). The only downside for me was the wi-fi strength and speed. At last, I find it nice, cozy and it brings memories from grandma's house. Try to see from another angle and you will feel it is charming and it fits perfectly in such a town.

Today schnitzel with forest mushrooms. Spätzle and cranberries eaten. Wunderbar.Dazu beer on tap. The service was very nice. Also the ambience is suitable.

A classic german Restaurant/Bar, very central

The location is really central, only a few meters away from the central bus connections. The city center is a short stroll away and it takes around 10 minutes to walk to the train station. The hotel is quite old and the decor is quite dated. The room was a standard room, also starting to show its age, the size was good, but the bathroom is very small. The shower for example is very small for a man who is of medium build and 175cm tall. The staff were not very friendly in my opinion. When I checked in, I was just given a key to the room and told it was upstairs. Asking for a wake-up call seemed like it was a hassle for them. Calling a cab however was done without any issue. The breakfast is a little 'buffet' bread, cheeses, yogurt, marmalade, cold cuts etc. Overall for a 3 star hotel it was fine, but nothing special. Paid 55 euro for the night, which was reasonable value. Decent place for the money, but would try another hotel next time.

Very good experience in this familial hôtel. Comfortable room and good restaurant with typical regional german food and good beer.
